I think this is Steatoda bipunctata – a harmless little house spider.

I’m not too sure, maybe the photo’s not the best but the body is a different shape than a house spider & it’s legs are shiny, we get loads of house spiders in the house but this one’s definitely different.
Sorry for the confusion …by house spider I meant a common spider you can often find around the house – rather than the larger hairier spider called “The House Spider”.
