It freaked me out at first because the thought it was a Brown Recluse. However, after researching this website, I believe it is Steatoda triangulosa (Triangulate Cobweb Spider). I found it in the bedroom of a lake cottage. I invite the experts to take a look and see if Iām correct.

You got it! Don’t worry about Brown Recluses, they prefer to be reclusive in warmer parts of the USA.

you’re welcome! I hope to find spiders in the Winter, there hasn’t been much bug activity except suicidal cutworms and midges. The Cobweaver spiders live inside and outside all year, even in our cold states. Many bugs and their offspring don’t freeze.
I was complaining about Google Photos highlighting a photo I took of a slug as a “January Highlight”…which led to my husband asking for me to explain about winter slugs in the frozen place we live.
I’ll put “anti-freeze biochemistry” on my list of things to learn more about. š
