Hi. I have, in years past, submitted a few images to BugGuide.
Those with the assistance of Dr Rod Crawford for ID to species.
In this case, it is more probability as these take close examination of leg members and chelicera to get to species. There are 200 native species of Solifugae in N.America.
I know the genus for having them around frequently
Solifugid. AKA: wind scorpion, camel spider.
Harmless but can give a hefty pinch if grabbed in the hand.
Genus Eremobates – BugGuide.Net
Thanks for going to genus level Dan! Do you do any unofficial IDs for BugGuide?
I practice there to get feedback on how well I’m learning.
