As you may have suspected, this is a Brown Widow. Latrodectus geometricus. Yes the venom is a medical concern. A bite should be treated by a medical professional. The egg sacs look like spiky white balls. The spiders may bite to protect egg sacs and in self-defense if handled roughly. The underside has a hourglass mark, like Black Widows have, but it is more orangey than reddish.
