This Metepeira Arizonica orb-weaver was attacked and killed in her own web by an intruder I believe to be a marbled cellar spider in the genus Psilochorus. The orb-weavers egg sacs she had been guarding for weeks is still hidden inside her retreat of her web. Will they still hatch without her??
