This is a Aranaedae! It looks like a possible Neoscona crucifera. I zoomed in a bit, but it gets blurry. The 2 protrubances may be pedipalps. I sometimes get confused on male vs female identification. But yeah..this is an Orb Weaver Aranaedae

It’s awesome you live in the N.O. I’ve driven through BR Louisiana, but didn’t get the pleasure of going to New Orleans. Amazing food and fishing!
