I live on western side of west virginia. On the ohio river and ohio state line. Found this female and an egg sac above my son's crib tonight. A little help identifying would be very appreciated. Thank you.

She’s Steatoda triangulosa, a Triangulate Cobweaver. It would be best for your child to move the mother and her eggs to outdoors. Her venom is not considered medically significant, relatively. Younger children, however, do not have experienced immune systems. Their immune systems sometimes over-react. A bite or sting from any bug can puncture skin and introduce bacteria. A spider with eggs or hatchlings may aggressively defend them. Alone, she would only bite in self-defense if she were to become trapped against skin. These are quite harmless. If she has a web, she likely will never leave it.
