Comments & ID Thoughts
Steatoda borealis, I'm certain. It has the right markings, widow-type legs and messy webs. Another near identicle picture of this spider is from Vernon, CT, and the picture ID is 4725. I found it in my upstairs bathroom, just like the other person.
Just now I finally put it outside, since this was the second time in a row (in 2 days) that I saw it on the inside lip of the toilet bowl, haha. 3 days ago it was crawling towards my towel, and the day before that, it was crawling up the outside of the bathtub. They must REALLY like water.
It may be hard to see for some, but even through the quality of the camera I can see the red line around the front edge of its abdomen, like I see in better photos of this spider.
There is also another one in my uptstairs bathroom (in it's web unlike the other). In truth, I could've seen either at any of the times I mentioned. For as long as it lives I can send as many photos as I want, but they won't be any better quality.

Since I can’t edit, I want to add that I think it is male, and that the distance from the tip of the front leg to the tip of the backleg is just barely shorter than a dime. Based on comparing a dime in my hand right now to the spider in the picture, I estimate the legspan reaches ~1mm short of a dime.
