Comments & ID Thoughts
Found this is in prince william national forest in a massive fire pit that still had burned wood pieces in it, it hadn’t been used in a season. There were quite a few of these guys. They were large - 2-3”. Its last segment was very round and black and ashy in color. It had a black “fuzzy” part that didn’t appear to be an egg sack, it I could be wrong. If it’s a wolf spider, it’s not like any that I’ve seen before as the area under the black fuzz was small and possibly tapered. Can anyone I’d this for me?
