Comments & ID Thoughts

We have had several of these guys in our new construction house this past week. Each has been reasonably large in that they cover the space of a half dollar coin(dating myself). They do not seem overly fast, but when you capture them, their legs seem sturdy. I think they appear to be some variant of a wolf spider, no webs noticed anywhere in the house, and 3 of these in maybe 5 days. Kids are dreaming of spiders but they are not afraid of them, so partially good. No clue about male female, mostly brown, long legged, in the house, not the garage, but I suspect they are there as my resident brown widow was eating what looked like one of these spiders(did not ask her what kind it was). They have a bit of fur/hairs on them. The only reason Iam not for sure calling this a wolf spider is that I have not seen an exact match. I am guessing the striping may be unique on any given spider, but I just dont know. This specimen was escorted outdoors, which may not be to his liking, but I cannot have him inside(even though it seems he has friends in here).
