https://bugguide.net/node/view/3376 Araneus diadematus, a Cross Orbweaver. Here’s the weird part- it is a very common species, but we don’t have any filed sightings of it from W. Virginia. BugGuide.net has 20 years of sightings data and they don’t have W. Virginia sightings of it either. So, unless my ID is incorrect, you’re breaking new ground. 🙂
