Location: bed. Google lens says black house spider. Saw this spider moving across my bed in the dim light and it went into my sheets piled up. After I freaked out, got my shoe and a flashlight, I moved the bedding around and it came out and I attempted to squash it. It has a exoskeleton type of body and shines dark brown legs. Abdomen looked grey and did not squash like usual soft body spiders. This one was tough. I would post the second picture if I could.
