A huntsman spider, likely male.
Thanks for the response Bugman! Unfortunately this arachnid friend was dead when we found him in the morning but looked in perfect condition. What do you think could have killed him? A scorpion ?
Hard to guess with fatalities. A scorpion or predator would likely drug it off for food.
I had a male lived in my room a few months, then just vanished.
They don’t live much into winter they mateure in, so old age is even possible.
