Originally found under the sink, moved because my brother thought it was a baby Widow. It’s about the size of a house fly, so it might be a young spider, but I’m not sure what type.
Possibly a Steatoda triangulosa
I might suggest a common American house spider or triangulate cobweb spider.

Definitely not American house spider, wrong shape and colorings. I’m leaning mode towards the second option
There is not enough of the spider visible for an identification. At least a spider was rescued from your brother. 🙂
