I think this is a golden silk orb weaver male female pair in the genus Trichonephila – probably – Trichonephila clavipes – The female might be building an egg sac. https://bugguide.net/node/view/210140

Oh wow ..yes u are right …that is a more likely Id. I didn’t realise the male female size difference was so great in this species.
