Thanks. It does look scrawny. Much smaller than the other one here. The other one had more legs but ran off before I could take a photo. We have huge Orb Weavers here too, that make big webs high up in the open. I am getting used to the tropics. At our house I have seen a few small cobra, a mouse, toxic toad called Konkok, Tkay lizzard, chinchoke gekko, and lots of bugs and birds.
I would have so much fun exploring in a tropical place like Thailand! I live in a cold place. The only venomous things around right now are little spiders and Short-tailed Shrews. The shrews are the only mammalian species with a venomous bite in North America. Not that I can name any other venomous mammals on Earth. 🙂 Your orbweavers might be Nephila pilipes. That’s one of the larger orbweavers in Thailand.
I lived in Alaska for 45 years, and have now moved here permanently. I have seen centipedes in Thailand but not at this home. We do have toxic toads here that they call Konkoke.
Yep. Poor thing doesn’t look to be doing well.
