I’m going to file it as Steatoda, there are a few possibilities for species. Here’s a basic cheat sheet: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steatoda The World Spider Catalog has basic ranges for species, they haven’t had time to be thorough with everywhere I species is known to live. Some kind person put everything in the WSC into Wikipedia at every taxon. It is an easy way to find the range of a species and to find what species are on a continent. I remember you posted a picture of your little male S. triangulosa. There had been a few very similar US photos submitted to the site in the previous few months that had puzzled the hell out of me. I had a light bulb moment when you posted. I realised subsequently that the males tend to have a whiter background on average than the females. You are right to call this one species. There are a few Steatoda species listed for Egypt that I can’t find good pictures for. They could be similar to this one.
