This one is so hairy and at the same time so shiny I wonder if it could be one of these…an unusually large dwarf spider found only on Hawaii in the genus Orsonwelles…https://uk.inaturalist.org/taxa/419299-Orsonwelles
Your spider is a mature male so here is another picture …this time a male. https://www2.gwu.edu/~spiders/
This is only a guess…I am sure there are a number of other possibilities.
I am not sure at all of my id. The picture is from an odd angle. I was sure at first that it was a cobweb spider from the legs and the spinnerets. I looked for ages tho and could not find a match. I could not find any pictures of Orsonwelles showing the spinnerets so it’s anyone’s guess what they look like.
So this spider is super tiny. I had it in a plastic condiment container but it was also w another spider, dead. I assume it’s a girl bcuz it was making sacs like crazy I guess. When I moved the container it kinda went crazy and started going around the whole container n i thought it was tryna get out but it was making webs all over the container. As if to block my view. I’m not joking I took videos. Or maybe to block the bright ass light I was shining into the little container….
That’s so interesting. I would really love to be able to identify it if I am able. I have never seen a spider like it. I am not a spider expert but i really love a puzzle…. Would you be able to post photos of it from another angle by any chance…. Can I ask you where you found it and If you could estimate the size of it ….the body not including the legs……it would be great. Thanks.
Idk how to post more pics of it on here. But to answer ur other questions. I was cleaning the bathroom vent in our hotel room n few days later my other half told me about the spiders. I accidentally killed the first one but the second one was alive. Anyways I kept both in a little container. W little holes to breathe. I’m in Lahaina, Hawaii. We r sheltered by the Red Cross and fema. Anyways it’s prolly about the size of the tip of a qtip. If u tell me how i have pics of it’s egg sacs… Read more »
hi JusWai. I am so sorry for what you have had to endure. The fire was just hideous. I’m afraid I don’t know what your spider is. I no longer think my first guess was correct. I would love if You could upload any other photos you have as new submissions. I will look out for them. There is a way to copy in links to videos into the comments – I have noticed that other people have done it – but I am afraid that I don’t know how its done.

My first hunch was something along the line of a happy faced spider. So close anyway.

Well, I noticed you do reference on inaturalist, that is a good place to look for those odd forign spiders.
I have looked at the hind ends of more spiders than I care to mention on inaturalist looking for a match.. :-)…
Butts you see at the beach are better.
🙂
