Comments & ID Thoughts

I thought it might be a recluse?

Sorry, no recluse in Canada. This is a long leged sac spider. The black mouth parts and booties sort of give these away.
Species Cheiracanthium mildei – BugGuide.Net

Dan, I filed it to genus because there may be overlapping range for C. mildei and C. inclusum in Canada and Northeast USA. When I’ve posted Cheiracanthium photos to Bugguide and asked if they can ID to species taxon, they said they can’t for where I live. I think I can tell them apart visually, my indoor ones are much smaller and clear to bright yellow. The outdoor ones (inclusum?) are robust and can have a variety of color tints such as tan, green, and blue.

I can usually tell then apart. As you noted the C. mildei more likely found indoors, C. inclusum, outdoors.
I had both species in southwest Idaho.
