Picture of unidentified spider

Comments & ID Thoughts

This picture shows the environment in which the spider was found. The foliage is about 3-4 feet tall. There are many vine plants growing low to the ground. I stumbled upon it by accident and my curiosity brought me to this website. So I thought it would be fun to contribute. I hope I have provided enough info to be a valuable contributor. If the pictures are not good enough for posting, they don't need to be posted. I never intended to do this nor am I into spiders. If you have any questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. The spider was an unexpected find. Its web was also so sticky, i could not remove it from my pants without washing them. It was also a pretty strong spider web . . . I would say almost as strong as the common Black Widow Spider found in North America. This spider was also a very fast mover so it was very difficult to photograph . . . especially when you are not prepared to do so. I got what I could before I lost him/her?!? in the grasses. Please update the outdoor traits which I why I provided this last picture so you can see the environment and make a proper classification. I'm also unsure if the spider was in its web as it was an accidental encounter. I first noticed him when he was crawling on my pant leg so I don't know where it came from. I also do not know what sex it was as I know nothing about spiders. You may need to zoom in on the pictures to see it. Pic 1 is an underside photo. Pic's 2 & 3 are top down. Pic 4 is just the environment - no spider. Thank you for having a website like this!
