In my garage. Showed up after they cleared some land by me. It doesnt look right for a black widow but I have no idea what it could be.

And every picture I see resembling this one is coming from an exterminators website which makes me feel like theyre misidentifying a more common spider as a black widow intentionally.
It is actually a black widow…juvenile black widows start out quite colourful. They lose the colour gradually as they mature…each molt they get darker and more monotone.
I don’t know which of them it is though. Southern and Western black widows are present in Texas
