I have a few of them around the outside of my house, is this just a garden spider?
This was the only one near eye height all the rest are high up. Never seen these ones before. Thank you!

I love it when my spiders pick something cool-looking to make webs on! She’s a type of house spider that was accidentally introduced to California from Europe. She’s in the same family as the Widows, but her venom is very weak to humans. This is an interesting photo of her web. Different Steatoda species make different styles of web. She’ll probably place her eggs in the skull, she might be building a nursery web to contain and protect the spiderlings. Awesome! Thank you so much! Her web spans about 1-2 ft wide in front of the skull but not visible in the picture. Been watching her for a while and always been curious, glad I posted thank you again.
