Comedy relief right ? You could hunt the entire state with a magnifying glass and never find a single brown recluse, they are just not there.
What you do have though is giant house spiders, which is what this is. Redicuously harmless, even good to have around.

Yes the brown recluse does not have that pattern on the abdomen, just the signature violin shape on the cephalothorax. But people sure do love to hate them! Poor brown spiders
