They are a big species. Male orb weavers tend to have longer legs than their female counterparts. Something to remember is that when spider sizes are mentioned …they are talking about the body size excluding the legs. Thanks. Diagonal size was about 50mm (from leg tip to leg tip). Do the males get that big? Are these spiders dangerous? I have a toddler in the house.
