Yes. The hole in the center of her orb web is a shortcut for her to move between the sided of the web without going the long planer way
Cool. I’m only now learning about the various species of spiders, their behaviors, and the webs they build. I’ve read somewhere too that many orb weavers prefer to rest on the underside of their slightly tilted vertical webs. The reason for this apparently, is that it makes for an easy escape in case the spiders are attacked. They can simply free-fall from the web, leaving a trail of silk behind them.
