Comments & ID Thoughts

I think this is a jumping spider but it doesn't seem to have the four prominent eyes. It behaved the same, hunted the same, ate a few bugs while riding around on me and then I dropped it back off. I love this guy. Just can't find a record of it in IL. He's just iridescent/gold/purple. Loves a gnat snack, didn't even see how he grabbed them it was so fast just that it would find out, eat most of it and drop part while going off to hunt for another snack.

It’s a beauty. I think it could be a jumping spider in the genus Tutelina. It may be a female T. elegans…because I think I can see a white band on the top of the abdomen
