Any idea what kind of spider this is?

I think it is a funnel weaver spider in the genus Agelenopsis…because of the long spinnerets

Spiders get thirsty. 😉
These ones are afraid of people and bright light. In late summer and autumn they have cool webs on grass and shrubs and everything else. The webs have tunnels and funnels and sometimes multiple layers. They’re not sticky, they’re like a big trampoline that isn’t quite taught enough to jump on. They bugs have trouble walking or jumping off of it without stumbling and sliding down the funnel. These spiders attack and kill the prey very quickly.
