When I put the picture of my spider in google lens, the best and most accurate match that came up was Araneus Ventricosus. However, what I read about them, is that they’re primarily found to live in China, Japan, and Korea. So this is odd. However, the coloration and markings I feel match it perfectly!

Araneus Ventricosus isn’t part of the fauna of the US …..though it is a popular choice for spider in resin ornaments…..
I think this may be a native orb weaver….Neoscona crucifera….it looks like the abdomen has shrunk a bit so it could be an elderly female that has laid eggs…this spider often has a different pattern on its hind legs versus the other 3 pairs …see the pic in the link

Google lens I would not trust beyond genus. I tried it a few times myself and not even close.
It has been very helpful for me different times. But definitely not in this case…lol
