I saw this little feller last night. I thought it was an adult jumping spider at first. Clearly not on closer inspection. It’s markings are beautiful and quite striking. I assume it’s a false widow male. But not convinced. Obviously it’s very young so hard to always tell. It did give some amazing threat posses, before I let it off into the night.

He’s a Flower Crab Spider. I don’t know which one from memory. Many of them have the ability to shift around internal pigments to change the colors of much of their bodies. Their brains trigger this based on what the spider sees around it. I suspect this one added some visible yellow. I’ve seen them to this pose in response to a threat. They also hunt in this pose. That all sounds extremely accurate to me from what I saw. It was extremely crab like in appearance and movement. Thank you for the info .
