Found in southeast Idaho but my husband travels a lot for work….latest trip was to Huntsville, Alabama. I’m wondering if he hitched a ride home in my husbands luggage…
Found this little guy in my living room. It’s super fast. I think it’s Castianeira longipalpa. Google lens says it’s a Chilean Recluse (I don’t believe google). Took him to the extension office and was told it was a pill bug spider, not so sure I believe that either.

I will go with Castianeria genus. Certainly not a recluse nor a woodlouse hunter.

@Whitli Skepticism is good. Google knows where you live, but it doesn’t combine location info with photos in the Google Lens app. I used to work for an equivalent of an extension office ( pre world wide web) and we just looked in ID books and went with the best guess. I had to do that quickly because sometimes the person who brought in a specimen was going into a full-blown phobia panic in our office. Hi @TangledWeb …that sounds like a tough job. Did you notice that the first of the additional pictures below isn’t actually Castianeira…its a Sergiolus spp. It may be a computer glitch
