Comments & ID Thoughts

I believe it is a Magnolia Green Jumper spider, it seems young but oddly friendly, its just hanging out with me and actually just tried to make a web strand in my hair and cimb up it towards me, i think its very cute and i dont think theyre very common for where i live !

Cute! You’re in the Northernmost part of their range. https://bugguide.net/node/view/2040/data The link is to Bugguide’s range data. Our own site doesn’t have any NJ sightings. I don’t know why some jumping spiders seem to enjoy interactions with people. I found a male Bold Jumper that was a total ham for the camera and attention. Dragonflies are like that too. It might be a territorial display.
