This is a screenshot from a YouTube posting by John Stanton, asking for help with identifying the spider. It created a large multi-layer web over a fallen log in the woods behind his house, in Greer, SC. It's clearly an orb weaver but any help about which one? The markings are so distinctive. Thanks.

Welcome to both of you! I think there was hesitation to ID this one because we aren’t sure if you have permission from the video owner to use the images. I allow photos without permission for the purpose of asking questions, in the way you have posted these ( with image owner cited). I delete the posts from our gallery if permission isn’t granted by the image owner. You can link this to the YouTube comment section to ask.
