This is a juvenile and that makes ID difficult. My first hunch is St. Andrews cross spider, Argiope keyserlingi.
I have looked it up and agree, but what is an Australian spider doing in Guatemala? A Wikipedia comment says he’s seen it in India also.
Again, this is hard to identify. It is certainly Argiope genus. The A. keyserlingi is one species I see most. Based on stablementum in the web and habitus of the spider.
A good candidate would be Argiope argentata, they often set up that cross stablementum, and sit with their legs paired in cross fasion.
Keep her around, perhaps in a month and a photo of her dorsum, she should be identifiable.
