Found in the mountains around Lake Chelan near a dry ravine. Walking on the ground between Ponderosa pines, antelope bitter brush, and some grasses.

All I know for certain is that it is an elderly orb weaver…it may be Araneus marmoreus…but I am not even sure it is in the genus Araneus.

Maybe Argiope trifasciata. They can lose their surface markings and just look silver in old age and she’s looking quite elderly.
That’s absolutely it! I have a photo of her underside which I wasn’t able to add to this post, unfortunately, and the markings match! Thank you so much! Also, it’s fascinating to learn that they lose their coloration on top and turn silver in old age. I had no idea they do that
