This looks like a silver sided orb weaver…also known as a missing sector orb weaver…zygiella x notata…not certain if the other one is the same…it does have the same body shape…they have a very distinctive orb web…the web has a sector…very like a pizza slice…missing.

The webs did look rather unfinished.
I’ve never heard of these spiders, but they appear to be very common.
Very common here in Ireland too. They are small and hide out during the day so they are rarely noticed..their webs tend to be very fine and hard to see also.
