Olios giganteus.

Nice photo. A golden huntsman, Olios giganteus, very harmless

Spiders don’t have the thought process for familiarity. Outdoors, they find a protective cubby hole, make a web sleeping bag, and over winter. Possible in inclement weather they find their way into human habitat.
Years back I hung out at the Palomar observatory. Late afternoon, getting cool, I would often find these on the sunny side of the building. Trying to catch them by hand can be a challenge as they are fast when spooked.
