@cursag3 Are you a student? I have a university in my neighborhood, the land around it is a good place to find insects, spiders, reptiles, and amphibians.
It’s a good basic career. My father built airplane engines, my brother repairs them. I never knew what I wanted most for a career except that it had to be in the sciences or arts. I’ve tried many things and I still don’t know. If you definitely don’t like studying to be a mechanic, finish it then change your path. I turned down free tuition to study for a phD in Biochemistry. I didn’t like studying chemistry. I’m glad I didn’t accept the offer though it was worth a lot of money.
A juvenile no doubt.

Yes, I’m a student. I’m in my first year.
What career do you want?
I’m in college studying to be a mechanic, but I’m not really sure it’s my thing — I just got a free place, so I went for it.

My point was that I wish I knew at your age that life experience brings new ideas for carreers. And new opportunities.
