Probably Steatoda grossa.
Hubby thought female black widow, I disagreed. He thinks everything is a black widow…what do you think the weird round spot on the back is? Thanks!
Many false widows as well as other spiders, have dimples on the dorsal side. Usually 4. These are points of attachments to the exoskeleton by the spiders heart and digestive tract.

Steatoda grandis is a possibility in Colorado. https://bugguide.net/node/view/6926 Her abdominal shape looks like S. grandis, but her dark black color looks like S. grossa. Cxd, in the link I provided, you might need to make a free account to see the sightings range for each species. Bugguide has 20 years of sightings info for continental North America.
