Yes. I usually find them on black/white/grey surfaces, like you did. This is one of the few spider species that I’ve been bitten by. I was in tall grass and one fell into my boot and was pinned against my leg. It bit me in attempts to get me to stop pressing against it. Spiders have very sensitive bodies. The bites aren’t too bad, similar to little sugar ant bites.
