I think it is a Araneus cingulatus. I was mowing at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL, when I stopped and took my hat off. It was on my hat. It must have been on low hanging foilage I was mowing around.

Thank you for giving the identification an attempt. This is a different green spider.
