I think it is a Araneus cingulatus. I was mowing at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL, when I stopped and took my hat off. It was on my hat. It must have been on low hanging foilage I was mowing around.

Thank you for giving the identification an attempt. This is a different green spider. I think it is great that green spiders even exist, it just seems like it was meant to be. 🙂 Here’s a link to more info about your American Green Crab Spider: https://bugguide.net/node/view/312516 They have a little bit of ability to change some parts of their body to pinkish purple – the eye area, bands on the legs and lines on the back.
