Comments & ID Thoughts

Large spider, the black dots are fly turds. The spider probably ate the flies that were swarming my basement hallway lamp for the last few months.

TangledWeb

The website accidentally has “in web” as a default answer. I think I can edit yours. This is an arachnid, but a different kind than spiders are. The biggest visual difference is that it has only one body segment and spiders have two. The biggest functional difference id that these arachnids ( Harvestmen) are able to chew solid food. Spiders need a lquid diet because of their narrow waist. Spiders are like people who had Lap Band surgeries.
