Saw this one clinging to my glass patio door. iNaturalist says "Orbwevers and Allies / Superfamily Araneoidea."

I think it might be a male Araneus marmoreus, a Marbled Orbweaver….. that’s just an offhand first guess.

Thanks. From what I read on Wikipedia, it would make sense that it is a male. Someone on iNaturalist identified it as a comb-footed spider, family Theridiidae. I don’t know enough to judge the relative merits of those competing classifications. But I see we have two votes here for Araneus marmoreus.
I did consider the Therrids. The dark line down the top of the cephalothorax is more likely with young Orbweavers. The way the legs bend is a bit different between the families. I suspect that that’s something the iNaturalist computer vision uses the give a basic identification. Humans double-check the AI. Our website is going to start working that way too.
A consensus on iNaturalist (3 commentators) is that it belongs to SubfamilyTheridiinae.
Agree with comb-footed spider, family Theridiidae. Theridion or similar.
