I can’t identify the spider but I had to say…COOL pic!! 🙂
I agree, I love the action photos! The details and color… and everything are fantastic! This is a Jumping Spider. Spiders instinctively go for the head of large prey. I don’t know if this evolved because it is physically the best way to stop the prey’s momentum and/ because that’s the end without a stinger. The spider has its fangs in an exoskeleton weak spot between the head and thorax of the cricket.
