My son asked me to save this little spidey after we spotted it floating in the pool. I’m very curious to know what kind this one is.

That’s what a lot of my Google results said too! It really was a pretty little thing, looked almost like a shining white abdomen when the sun hit it. I’m about to post another of one I’m dying to identify, but the pic is not great… can never seem to catch it outside of it’s little crevice
The “butterfly marking” is the distinctive feature. We ARE the source material of Google results. 🙂 Along with many other sites that Google uses for free content. Often I use Google Lens and the results are my own photos or writing. That’s weird. Please feel free to post spider pics. We’ve guessed at hundreds of indistinct photos. You might be trying to photograph a Grass Spider. They are afraid of movement and bright lights. I sneak up on them in the dark and take a photo once I know where one is. Ooh, how interesting, I had no idea about this being a source for Google searches! The water thing would explain why I have SO many of these in crevices around my pool
