Looks like a male Trichonephila genus orb weaver.

The T. clavata seems to have the same temperament as the T. clavipes, similar venom.
Decades back, I assisted Steven Kutcher with his spider demo and spider art.
Next booth a person had T.clavipes and one of few spiders at the fair they would let children handle, as they are docile and very reluctant to bite. I compare handling them to Preying Mantis.
