This is just a picture so you can’t tell this from it but, the video I saw of this spiders behavior says trapdoor spider to me. Funnel spiders typically rear up and raise their front legs up in an aggressive posture when threatened and the video my friend showed me of this spider the spider at time freezes perfectly still or tries to run off which is more consistent with the behavior of trapdoor spiders from what I have read.
What kind of spider is this?
Definitely a male black trapdoor
though on second thought it may also be a funnel web female, they look rather similar
