erixsparhawk, I agreed on Misumena vatia because of the positions of the eyes. https://bugguide.net/node/view/38094 Misumenoides formosipes is my favorite spider species. They have a ridge with eyes on the ends of the ridge facing to the sides. I just learned that to make sure I can tell the 2 species apart.

For these, I start with those red lateral stipes, unless some features indicate a different species. Can’t go by color alone, just to variable.
