Thinking a wolf or funnel spider, both of which are common in this area (Oakland, CA). This is on a fence post outside my back door

This is a funnel weaver. There is only one species of wolf spider that dwells in a web, and they are not known in your area.
My first huch here is a barn funnel weaver, aka domestic house spider.
Thank you. BTW, I said it was in its own web, but from the photo am I even correct that is a web, let alone its? ♀️
Certainly looks like this spider made the web.
