I found it when I was walking on the trail around Lake Martin, LA. The web was near a dead trunk tree. Maybe Steatoda triangulosa ?

This is an Orbweaver ( a Spider that weaves circular webs). I can’t tell from the photo which one she is. You’re more likely to find Steatoda triangulosa in your home. They thrive in and on buildings – without interaction with humans. You have a good angle in the photo, I just can’t see the markings and colors. The most likely genera are Araneus and Neoscona. There should be many species of Orbweavers on Louisiana btrails, especially near sunset. The spiderweb emoji is based on their web structure.
