Is this a male Latrodectus hesperus (Western Black Widow)? My coworker found this little guy in the break room in a web under a table, and asked me to relocate it (I'm the office bug girl). The pink blob is the tip of my finger for a (poor) size reference.

Cool, I would have loved to find a Black Widow at work! I’m always the “bug gjrl” too. 🙂 If we do well at it, it becomes contagious. My male best friend is tired of people at work literally screaming when they see a mouse or bug. It’s annoying like the earliest Dr. Who season, in which women just screamed at everything all of the time. So, we bought a humane mouse trap and he saved the mice. Hi fellow bug girl!!! =D I would love to find a female at work next! I love widows so much. They are gorgeous. My coworker was so nervous to tell me–she was like “hey… I didn’t want to say anything out loud because I didn’t want to freak anyone out, buuuut, I think there’s a widow in the break room.” OMG people get so freaked out over the smallest little critters!
